Job Description

Summary

The Procurement Coordinator will provide assistance to technical procurement personnel related to routine procurement matters.  Review requisitions, convert to purchase orders and assist Senior Buyers as needed. Will contribute to enforcing adherence to procurement policies. Some material sourcing may be required.

Job Duties

  • Materials sourcing and placing purchase orders.
  • Negotiate with and develop suppliers and service providers by monitoring and reporting KPI's.
  • Work to achieve targets outside of Procurement for missions and departments; influences use of preferred and HUB suppliers.
  • Communicate well and acts independently to solve problems; provide coverage and training for counterparts as needed.
  • Understand UG and BCM policies and applies both in all transactions to avoid risk.
  • Support other members of the Procurement team as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Two years' experience a plus
  • Some knowledge of SAP
