Job Description


The Baylor Teen Health Clinic currently provides pregnancy testing, family planning, sexually transmitted diseases (STD) and HIV/AIDS education and screening, primary healthcare, and case management services to teens, their partners, and adolescents in Harris County. The clinics provide services to teens from the age of 13-24.
Services We Provide:
• Comprehensive Exams (Male & Female)
• Gynecological services
• Birth control and family planning
• Sexually transmitted disease screening and treatment
• Primary healthcare
• Immunizations
• HIV/AIDS education and screening

Job Purpose

The Coordinator, Patient Support Services will lead the team that schedules and coordinates patient appointments and visits, including telemedicine. 

Job Duties

  • The Patient Support Services Coordinator will lead the team that schedules and coordinates patient appointments and visits, including telemedicine. 
  • Supervise 3 agents. 
  • Primarily answer calls from the clinics appointment line, but may also interact with patients in-person and from time to time may be stationed in a clinic at the front desk. 
  • Proactively call patients to schedule follow up exams. 
  • Prepare and maintain daily appointment schedules and collects necessary patient information and completes documentation, applications and eligibility. 
  • Process enrollment applications and performs data entry timely, accurately and in compliance with State and Federal standards and guidelines.
  • Work in an administrative area answering patient calls and scheduling the patient in one of our 9 locations. 
  • Occasionally work in one of nine clinic locations. 
  • Supervise the work of 3 other agents. 
  • Greet, orient and answer patient’s questions. 
  • Act as a front line representative, record and maintain reports and data to support operational activities. 
  • Manage multiple task and deadlines using organizational skills. 
  • Enter additional information into other databases, and tracking patient demographic information.


Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior Call Center experience.
  • Proficiency in Windows, MS Office applications, and the Internet.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines using organizational skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions while exercising good judgment.
  • A strong sense of customer service.
