Job Description

Non-tenure line (NTL) faculty contribute to Ball State’s mission through excellence in teaching and service to the university, its students, and the surrounding community. In the Department of Psychological Science, NTL faculty contribute to the department’s mission by teaching courses in their area of expertise, including both general and specialized courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. The department works to provide access to resources to NTL faculty for research or community engaged work. Non-tenure line faculty are highly valued and are active members of the department. Many of the department’s NTL faculty have been recognized for their excellence in teaching. 

Ball State University’s Department of Psychological Science seeks a full-time contract teacher-scholar (non-tenure line) with a strong record of teaching excellence to join our faculty for  January 2022 through May of 2023 semester. 

Job Function:

Minimum Experience:

Master’s degree or higher in psychology or closely related field from an accredited college or university;  and experience/potential to teach courses in introduction to psychological science, statistics, research methods, industrial/organizational, psychology of women, diversity, prejudice and discrimination, or bio/neuro psychology.  

Preferred Experience:

We are seeking applicants who demonstrate one or more of the following qualifications: doctoral degree in psychology or closely related field from an accredited institution; a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment; and experience/potential to teach courses in introduction to psychological science, statistics, research methods, industrial/organizational, psychology of women, diversity, prejudice and discrimination, or bio/neuro psychology.
