Responsibilities

Executive Vice President and Provost

Saint Mary's College of California celebrates its mission, identity and legacy as a Lasallian, Catholic, liberal arts institution as it seeks an Executive Vice President and Provost. This is a transformational moment in the College's history as the EVP/Provost will report directly to a new and innovative President, Dr. Richard Plumb, and partner with him and the leadership team in shaping Saint Mary's future. Together they will finalize and advance a strategic plan designed to enhance a value-oriented, 21st century education characterized by academic excellence and student transformation and success. The EVP/Provost will be a genuine servant leader and proven academic leader with an earned doctorate degree or other discipline-appropriate terminal degree, a record of effective teaching and scholarly achievement that would merit appointment as full professor, and the skills required to meet the expectations of an institution with undergraduate, graduate and professional programs, in a richly diverse and engaged community. The EVP/Provost will empower and lead a team of dedicated academic and student life colleagues and information technology professionals.
