Rider University’s One Stop Services seeks an Office Associate who under direction from the One Stop Services Functional Data Analysts and the Executive Director, will assist with the awarding and notification process for financial aid. Individual will: interact with counselors, graduate assistants and student workers to ensure the proper record keeping and procedures are followed to meet federal, state and university regulations regarding student financial aid files; perform related administrative work requiring the exercise of independent judgment and a working knowledge of department rules and regulations, which will include the implementation of our imaging process and the on-going management of student files; assist other employees in the Bursar, Financial Aid and One Stop Services Offices as needed under limited direction; perform routine to moderately complex administrative activities to contribute to the operating efficiency of the work area; operate independently in prioritizing own workload and in determining how best to accomplish work objectives; and participate in special projects as required.
Qualified candidate must possess a High school diploma or equivalent along with a minimum 2 years of related work experience. Additional requirements include: ability to acquire knowledge of department rules, regulations, policies, procedures, organization, and functions of the problems likely to be encountered in organizing assigned work; ability to verify verbal and written account summary information, financial aid awards in a professional manner; ability to communicate effectively and professionally with the professional staff; excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to multi-task in complex situations; and must be well organized.
Position Preferred Qualifications/Experience
Knowledge of Ellucian/Banner student system is preferred.
