The Division’s Client Services Department is comprised of Account Strategists who serve as the primary interface between Division and client.  Account Strategists provide counsel and high-level expertise and customer service while overseeing the implementation of strategic marketing and communications plans and ensuring highly effective outcomes. 

Account Strategists are responsible for the oversight of assigned clients and manage the work of a cross functional team of successful professionals who excel in their roles to ensure client goals and measurable objectives are met. The success of the Account Strategist’s clients is their paramount concern.  

Job Function:

Account Strategists are responsible for the oversight of assigned clients and manage the work of a cross functional team of successful professionals who excel in their roles to ensure client goals and measurable objectives are met. The success of the Account Strategist’s clients is their paramount concern.  

Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, public relations, communications, journalism, or a related field from an accredited institution. 

Minimum Experience:

At least three years of experience in communications, marketing, or related field.

Preferred Experience:

  • Involvement in the development and execution of marketing and communications strategic plans for clients or organizations. 
  • Extensive knowledge of customer service-focused and client services business operations.
  • Proven ability to maintain and manage multiple clients. 
  • Experience using project management software. 
  • Dynamic leadership abilities. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all assigned client work and maintain direct, day-to-day client contact.  
  • Help lead in the creation of comprehensive strategic communications, marketing and public relations plans with goals, measurable objectives, strategies, and tactics that are reflective of the client’s organizational goals; oversee implementation of strategies and tactics. 
  • Intimately understand the client’s performance-based business model. Monitor and ensure the cross functional team is always aware of the client’s organizational and marketing and communications goals. 
  • Make proactive recommendations to ensure client goals and measurable objectives are met. 
  • Oversee successful long-term work for assigned clients on time and within budget. 
  • Present strategic communications plans, creative concepts, media recommendations or other deliverables to clients. 
  • Lead a cross functional team through the project management software workflow system, including timeline management. 
  • Oversee the generation of reports, including weekly, quarterly, annual, and work-in-progress reports.  
  • Lead a weekly cross functional team meeting that support assigned client areas. 
  • Serve on the crisis communication team.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
