Job Description


The Department of Medicine is seeking an experienced, dedicated, and enthusiastic Senior Coordinator.  This position will provide support to the department by coordinating the HR functions and business processes, processing personnel related transactions, and liaising with central departments.

Job Duties

  • Coordinates the day-to-day business and Human Resource functions for the department.
  • Processes personnel related transactions in SuccessFactors. Coordinates with Human Resources as required.
  • Submits positions for approval through the position management process.
  • Coordinates with the International Services Office regarding visa requests for new employees and visa extensions for current employees.
  • Schedules interviews on behalf of the hiring managers and supported faculty.
  • Manages faculty reappointments and renewals.
  • Manages the faculty promotion process.
  • Liaises between the section Administrators, Baylor MedCare, BSLMC and other various hospitals were BCM faculty need credentialing. Submits, tracks and finalizes all new faculty credentialing and recredentialing for the DOM’s faculty.
  • Receives, verifies, processes and submits all the DOM’s supplemental payments bi-monthly.
  • Assists with onboarding faculty and staff.
  • Coordinates department meetings, events, retreats, and other functions.
  • Pulls various adhoc reports as requested.
  • Pulls and emails weekly new hire and termination report then sends to section Administrators.
  • Enters all requests for SAP access into SAM.
  • Provides additional support to faculty and staff as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Credentialing experience for enrolling providers and guiding them through the licensing process in the State of Texas.
  • Experience in an academic medical institution working with Faculty.
  • SAP experience.
  • SuccessFactors experience.
