Job Description


The position will be responsible for processing incoming payments received for grants/contracts and affiliated revenue, reconciling accounts, reviewing and approving invoices, and processing daily wires and ACH payments deposited.

Job Duties

  • Applies payments to the correct receivable/payable.
  • Reconciles, records, and clears items on the all bank general ledger clearing account daily.
  • Reviews and approves recurring monthly invoices and financial reports.
  • Processes daily wires and ACH payments deposited to a clearing account.
  • Reconciles general ledger account with bank statements and prepares the monthly bank reconciliation report.
  • Reviews and maintains accounts receivable/payable aging information.
  • Prepares journal entries to make corrections/adjustments for returned checks, credit card fees, bank account analysis fee and any other discrepancies or adjustments.
  • Delivers on day-to-day objectives that have direct impact on job area and/or department results with little to no supervision.
  • Provides assistance and training to lower level employees.
  • Delegates tasks to others and reviews their work.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Experience in Concur.
  • Experience in 1099 processing.
  • Experience in Escheatment is a plus.
