Job Description


Baylor College of Medicine Disbursement's department is seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator responsible for providing A/P support to the organization for accurate, timely and discretionary processing of Accounts Payable functions. 

Job Duties

  • Reviews and audits invoices for processing.
  • Inputs general account information into various A/P systems according to established A/P and purchasing policies to ensure accurate and timely payments.
  • Reviews and analyzes invoices for purchases and expenses.
  • Performs 3 way match of invoices for timely payments.
  • Contacts appropriate vendor or department contact to verify receipt of merchandise.
  • Researches credits, past due invoices and statements.
  • Responds to vendor inquiries regarding invoices.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a medical environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Strict attention to detail and follow-through, self-starter.
  • Must be customer focused and results oriented.
  • Flexible with ability to work in a faced paced, high transaction volume environment.
