Information Technology (IT) provides information resources and technology services to the entire campus community supporting the academic mission. IT also provides technical assistance in the design, acquisition, installation, and maintenance of the campus systems, media, and telecommunications infrastructure, including; desktop computer equipment; institutional databases; enterprise-wide applications; technology-equipped classrooms, distance learning classrooms, telecommunications systems; centralized access to a campus-wide software library, remote online services, open-access and program-specific computer labs, consulting, training, and user support. Information Technology assists University leadership in strategic planning for technology initiatives that strengthen both efficiency and effectiveness.
The Business Analyst Supervisor position supervises a four-person team of project managers and business analysts and reports to the Senior Manager for Enterprise Application Services. The Senior Manager for Enterprise Application Services reports to the Chief Information Officer (CIO).
This journey-level position provides consulting, needs assessments, process and project management and business analysis leading to the successful implementation of new systems, upgrades, technical processes, and system optimizations. This position manages IT projects that include integrating and implementing new systems, software applications, and technologies. This position devises new procedures, standards, tools, and techniques when they don’t exist or are inadequate, increasing the throughput and quality of work assigned to the team. This position develops processes and procedures using SQL and various business analysis tools to identify and resolve complex operational problems for systems and guides other staff in different teams and units.

Ability to lift 15 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and sit as needed for office and computer work.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology or related discipline required. Substantial experience may be substituted for formal education.
At least one year of relevant supervisory experience.
At least two years of experience in and knowledge of:
requirement and project management methodologies, tools, and processes.
presentation, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
At least one year of working-level knowledge and skills in:
Workload management skills that exhibit the ability to plan and organize assignments create timely and accurate work products and work efficiently, remain focused, and handle interruptions effectively
Establish and maintain technical documentation
Writing and modifying Structured Query Language (SQL) statement
At least two years of experience implementing, managing, and/or administering systems.
At least two years of recent professional experience performing the business, process, and systems analysis, requirement definition, and/or documentation.
Candidate must demonstrate interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency, universal accessibility, and/or diversity.
Professional certifications in Project Management or Business Analysis
Experience in using a well-structured life cycle management process for implementation of changes in applicable systems, including experience with project management and configuration management processes
Knowledge and experience working in higher education and/or financial environment with areas dealing with information systems management and support systems
Experience working with modern development languages and practices, including source control.
