Job Description


The Wellness Associate will assist in the planning, development, implementation and monitoring of company-wide total wellbeing initiatives. The candidate assists with the development of wellness programs that create awareness, motivation and provides tools to employees that help them adapt and maintain a well-rounded healthy lifestyle. Duties include plan administration, participant communications and data entry.

This is a hybrid position: Two (2) days in office and three (3) remote. 

Job Duties

  • Assists with the development, coordination, management, and maintenance of total wellbeing programming to reduce health risk, medical costs, and encourage healthy lifestyles for 10,500+ employees and 3,000+ spouses.
  • Works with wellness and benefits vendors to create programs to drive positive behavior.
  • Answers employee questions regarding BCM BeWell program.
  • Creates challenges and presentations on various wellness topics.
  • Assists in drafting employee communications with respect to new wellness programs and offerings.
  • Implements wellbeing related activities; examples include: biometric screenings, lunch and learn seminars, health fairs, etc.
  • Keeps abreast of current national wellness and wellbeing initiatives and activities, developing a network of resources and contacts to use at Baylor College of Medicine as appropriate; explores ideas and opportunities to personalize the program to increase employee participation.
  • Builds a logical approach to address problems or opportunities or manage the situation at hand by drawing on own knowledge and experience base and calling on other references and resources as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Two years of relevant experience.


  • Some travel required.
  • Opportunities to give presentations.
  • Typical week is 30% administrative duties, 35% customer service, 35% creating and facilitating programs.
  • Typical 40 hour work with with option of flex schedule after 6 months of employment.
