The Director of Club Sports is responsible for leading, implementing, adminstering and evaluating a comprehensive Club Sports Program for the College. The Director oversees and manages the operational functions including recruiting prospective student-athletes, travel, roster management, eligibility, scheduling, event management, equipment purchasing, inventory control, risk management, student leadership development, marketing, website management, and communications. This position requires the use of independent judgment and discretion when carrying out job responsibilities and functions.

Internal Operations: Manage and oversee the operational areas including rosters, eligibility, scheduling, events, laundry services, and campus collaborations. Oversee areas of risk management including policies & procedures, and maintaining/updating the club sports manual. Develop and implement academic support system for club sports student-athletes.

Financial Operations: Manage and oversee the financial and budgeting areas including travel, equipment purchasing & inventory control, apparel, and league dues. Mange all account payable tasks required by the Business Office including the CAR Form, Purchase Requisition Form, Independent Contractor Agreement, Expense Report Form, and others as determined by the Business Office.

External Operations: Develop, implement and execute a plan for external operations for club sports including, advertising, promoting, website design & upkeep, photography, webstreaming, social media, digital & print materials, and outreach to prospective students and alumni.

Student Leadership Development: Manage and oversee the Club Sports Council, leadership training, and team leadership communication. Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate student leaders for student leders on the operations team, management team, and marketing team.

Experience and Qualifications

Education: REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree PREFERRED: Master's Degree

Experience: (years required and applicable field of experience): Three to five years of leadership experience managing a Club Sports or similar Program

Skills/Abilities: (e.g. computer skills, written & verbal skills, trades, laws, procedures, technical) Proficiency with word-processing and database management software ie) Microsoft Office.

Licenses & Certifications (e.g. CPA, RN, etc.): REQUIRED: PREFERRED:
