The Department of Family and Community Medicine is recruiting an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to provide care in the Center for Integrative Health and Wellness. The APP must have interest in providing Life Style medicine which focuses on self-care lifestyle modification, stress relief, nutrition and movement therapies (i.e. yoga, tai chi). The provider will see patients in the outpatient practice under the direction of the Medical Director.
Clinical Care: In collaboration with attending physicians, provide care to patients in the outpatient clinic. Duties include: completing routine visits, responding to urgent clinical needs during business hours, and assisting the Medical Director in the Group Visits. The APP is expected to review the medical history, complete an appropriate exam, review relevant diagnostic data, develop an assessment and plan, order treatment and diagnostic evaluation, communicate with patients and family, provide timely appropriate documentation, and bill appropriately for services.
Education: The APP is expected to participate in medical education, including working with medical students, residents, and fellows. Activities may include working one on one with a learner, providing feedback, attending and participating in didactics.
Administrative: The APP will work closely with the Medical Director and administration on quality and safety initiatives and the development of care protocols as necessary. The APP is expected to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.
Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate degree from accredited Nursing Program and active NP license in the state of Ohio
Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA program and active PA license in the state of Ohio
