Job Description

Position Summary
Seeking an experienced, innovative, reliable full-time Senior Health Data Systems Analyst to increase HIV/AIDS data availability on the Satcher Health Leadership Institute’s (SHLI) Health Equity Tracker (HET) and to subsequently improve access to data for individuals, organizations, and stakeholders with a mission to improve health equity for people living with HIV/AIDS. The Analyst will expand the HET in order to track HIV/AIDS, and other disparate disease outcomes to display existing data gaps, and spotlight the need for increased and improved data collection and reporting. The Senior Health Data Systems Analyst will also conduct asset mapping and tracking to examine the health systems gaps that prevent healthcare utilization for people living with HIV/AIDS. The results of the asset mapping and tracking will be used to advance health systems transformation and comprehensively examine the health systems gaps and policies that impact healthcare utilization for People Living With HIV and AIDS (PLWHA), leading to the development of a policy implications for key stakeholders. The Analyst will provide technical assistance and policy assessments/recommendations to jurisdictions concerning data practices, including tracking, and measuring health inequities for PLWHA. The Analyst will provide key coordination of communication of data outcomes, dissemination and implementation, and technical assistance activities for new and ongoing health equity-related programming within SHLI. The Senior Health Analyst will work in a team environment with the support of and under the direct supervision of the Director of Health Policy for SHLI and work collaboratively with HET team members. Specifically, the Analyst will dutifully execute the following responsibilities:

· Assist SHLI leadership in managing the health equity portfolio by actively participating in the development of new and ongoing initiatives.
· Conduct research to contribute to project deliverables and writing outputs.
· Perform data and trend analysis.
· Liaise with other programs, offices, and departments at MSM, collaborators and partners, in order to coordinate initiatives and accomplish objectives.
· Prepare written materials, charts and graphs, formatting and referencing, and other content for manuscripts, presentations, key deliverables, and grant proposals.
· Schedule and manage logistics for assigned projects.
· Other duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
· Master’s degree, Doctorate preferred in Epidemiology, Biostatics, or Data Science Informatics from an accredited institution.
· 5-8 years related experience in epidemiological and statistical data analysis in an academic public/global health setting required.
· Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, database, forms, and statistical analysis design software.
· Knowledge of quantitative research methods required.
· Experience in an academic and/or research work environment.
· Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Possess excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
· Knowledge of and an ability to interpret and apply related institutional policies and
procedures as well as federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
· Possess the flexibility to work in a capacity beyond the listed duties and manage multiple
priorities simultaneously.
