Rider University invites applications for an Institutional Research Consultant for Strategic Initiatives. 

The Institutional Research Consultant for Strategic Initiatives works collaboratively with the Assistant Provost on the collection and analysis of institutional data for strategic initiatives and programming. The IR Consultant will act in a consultative role to provide quality input on research methodology, statistical analyses, and/or subject matter expertise on initiatives related to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) to inform assessment efforts and quality improvement. This is a part-time, grant-funded position through the New Jersey Governor’s Emergency Education Relief Fund (GEERF II) that expires on August 2023. The position can work for up to 29 hours per week with the opportunity to work remotely. Under the general direction of the Assistant Provost, the IRC develops and produces statistical and analytical reports that provide relevant information to support assessment efforts, planning, and decision-making. The individual will also work closely with the Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion/Chief Diversity Officer to implement coordinated efforts for institutional improvement. 

Position Requirements

Qualified candidates must possess a Master’s degree and skill with quantitative and/or qualitative data analysis. Experience and skill in developing plans for strategizing and implementing initiatives. Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Position Preferred Qualifications/Experience

Terminal degree, university teaching experience, and/or understanding of best practices in DEI initiatives and programs.
