The Gail Bierenbaum Women’s Leadership Council seeks a part-time coordinator to support the operations of the council.

The Gail Bierenbaum Women’s Leadership Council recognizes honors and advances this legacy by: developing women student leaders through mentoring, professional workshops, social events and scholarship opportunities; engaging alumnae by providing networking opportunities with like-minded women leaders; and engaging in philanthropic initiatives that ensure the future education of women at Rider. 
 
The GBWLC seeks a part-time Program Coordinator who will oversee, manage and coordinate the day to day functions of the women’s leadership council with an emphasis on oversight of the mentoring program. Working closely with the Senior Director of Development and the co-directors of the Women’s Leadership Council, the Program Coordinator will plan, manage and administer the day to day administrative and operational activities for the Women’s Council, with a strong focus on the mentoring program. The Program Coordinator will serve as the primary contact for the women’s council and the mentoring program and will work closely with admissions to recruit and select first year students to the program. Other essential duties include organizing signature events, oversight of the student leaders, creating agendas and speakers for team meetings and workshops, ensuring appropriate follow up with students and mentors, maintaining the mentor/protégé directory and database, budget management, program marketing and reporting.

Position Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree required, with 4-6 years of related work experience preferred. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of standard office equipment
  • Computer proficiency required with an emphasis on word processing, spreadsheet management (MS Excel), and data management and assessment skills
  • Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to operate independently, prioritize and organize own work schedule, multi-task, and meet established deadlines
  • Excellent data management, and computer programs (i.e. Microsoft office, excel, google drive) required
  • Ability to attend to details while working in a busy, deadline-oriented environment
  • Ability to think critically and analyze problems and user requirements
  • Ability to establish and monitor priorities and consistently coordinate multiple projects

Position Preferred Qualifications/Experience

  • Ability to develop assessment tools and manage/report data outcomes
  • Knowledge of or experience of fundraising or development experience in a university, college, private institution, or non-profit setting, or transferable skills and experience
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge software.
