The Clinical Research Network (CRN) Specialty Cluster Manager manages the Specialty Cluster Office that is part of the Medical Directorate.  Your role will involve facilitating interactions with our six National Specialty Leads (NSLs) who are based across England and cover all aspects of research across the Cluster’s six specialties.  Working with various external stakeholders, undertaking projects to further the work of the specialties, providing administrative support to the NSLs and National Specialty Groups (NSGs) to develop communications materials, run meetings and events and representing the specialties at national conferences. 

The role will involve dealing proactively and positively with people at all levels within funding bodies, the Association of Medical Research Charities (AMRC), the life sciences industry, Royal Colleges, NIHR Infrastructure, patient groups and relevant sectors of the public, and various specialty specific professional bodies such as the British Society of Genetic Medicine and the British Geriatrics Society.
