Description

The Department of Economics of the Fogelman College of Business and Economics at the University of Memphis Department of Economics is seeking applicants for a postdoctoral research fellow. This position will involve interdisciplinary collaborations with the faculty (business and economics) to generate external research grants for funding joint research and high-quality peer-review publications with the physicians at LifeDoc, a non-profit healthcare provider. Responsibilities focus on data analytics and econometric modelling of patient-level data (encounters, outcomes, etc.) and an assessment of an innovative payment mechanism for the health care services provided the patients.
The Department is an academically diverse, professionally active group of 10 full-time faculty members with research expertise in topic areas such as applied economics and policy analysis, healthcare innovations, techecon and economics analytics, and econometrics. Qualifications

Candidates must have a PhD or equivalent in economics or related business or quantitative field. Candidates are expected to have started a program of research and demonstrate excellent communication skills and research capabilities.
