We are seeking to appoint to a newly-created role of Deputy University Librarian (Library Services) to support the strategic delivery of the University of Leeds Libraries' vision for 2030, Knowledge for all. You will be a member of the University of Leeds Libraries Executive Leadership Team and will deputise for the University Librarian and Keeper of Brotherton Collection internally and externally on issues relating to library services.
You will have overall leadership responsibility of three large-scale service functions (and approximately 200 staff) across the University Libraries, including dedicated leadership of three senior Associate Directors. These include Student Learning and Experience, Research and Digital Futures, and Content and Discovery. You will also be responsible for implementing the library's forward plan for 2022-2025 and forming the next forward plan for 2026-2030. This role will work closely with the University Librarian and Keeper of Brotherton Collection, Associate Directors, and other members of the broader leadership team, and will provide additional leadership and strategic capacity. In addition, you will provide support to implement a cultural shift, making our libraries a beacon of innovation and inclusivity.
