Job Description

Provide managerial leadership and operational support for the daily operation of the curriculum management and scheduling functions, monitoring and ensuring compliance with college, university, accreditation, stand and Federal regulations as applicable to academic curriculum and scheduling.

Job Function:

Provide managerial leadership and operational support for the daily operation of the curriculum management and scheduling functions, monitoring and ensuring compliance with college, university, accreditation, stand and Federal regulations as applicable to academic curriculum and scheduling.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or in lieu of Bachelor's degree an Associate's degree plus an additional two years of related experience.

Preferred Education:

Master’s degree from an accredited institution.

Minimum Experience:

At least one year of experience with scheduling and/or curriculum and curriculum processes. Some experience working with relational databases.

Preferred Experience:

Additional years of experience using ERP systems, including Banner, Watermark and 25Live; familiarity with academic policy and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assign and review work, orient and train staff, and make recommendations in all areas related to supervision, including but not limited to, interviewing and selection, compensation, performance appraisal, training, discipline and career development. Evaluate Office of the Registrar team members to improve effectiveness in daily tasks and processes associated with catalog and course scheduling functions.
  • Coordinate, manage, set priorities, establish goals, and ensure that deadlines are met relative to all aspects of functional areas of responsibility (course catalog and schedule), including processing updates in Banner, inter/intra office reports, data file generation/distribution, and report writing.
  • Collaborate with constituents to establish an understanding of other external processes, data, and the impacts with integrations with systems and data/business process that are managed by the Registrar's office. This will involve public speaking, task force and committee work, and outreach.
  • Support and participate in the development and delivery of business process solutions, system usage, data integrity, and end-user training regarding best practices for Registrar processes/procedures.
  • Interpret, implement and ensure compliance with university academic and administrative policies. Recommend new internal policies, guidelines and procedures. Ensures compliance with university, state and Federal regulations and laws; serve as a primary contact for ICHE initiatives.
  • Produce high-quality documentation of operations and procedures that meet university standards and is appropriate for its intended audience. Develop and maintain project documentation to include project proposals, charter scope documents, test scenarios, project schedule and test plans, etc.
  • Serve as the key contact for systems issues as they pertain to catalog/curriculum and scheduling products; increases adoption of features, reviews and revises forms, maintains user access, reports, etc. In coordination with Office of the Registrar leadership, collaborate with Information Technology Services regarding system upgrades and maintenance, issue resolution and any other technology related topics that impact Registrar's operations and processes.
  • Support Office of the Registrar operations while exercising sound judgement, diplomacy, and confidentiality when interacting with constituents.
  • Participate in strategic long-range planning, team building, goal setting, and assessment and outcome measurements for the department.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
