The Department of Landscape Architecture has three non-tenure-line contract faculty positions available August 2022 . Primary responsibilities include teaching engineering courses, studios, and seminars in all professional programs, in teams and individual.

The Department of Landscape Architecture has three (3) contract faculty vacancies available to teach a broad range of courses in the professional programs, including studio, lectures, labs, and seminars.

Job Function:

The Department of Landscape Architecture has three non-tenure-line contract faculty positions available August 2022 . Primary responsibilities include teaching engineering courses, studios, and seminars in all professional programs, in teams and individual.

Minimum Experience:

Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited institution OR Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited institution and an advanced degree in a related profession OR Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited institution and meet four of the following criteria;
  1. Relevant professional licensure (landscape architecture, architecture, interior design, engineering, planning, etc.)
  2. Record of discipline-based scholarship or creative work
  3. Cumulative 10+ years of professional experience in landscape architecture or related discipline
  4. Cumulative 4+ peer-reviewed professional awards
  5. Cumulative 4+ invited lectures and/or presentations for professional work
  6. Cumulative 2+ leadership roles in professional organizations
  7. Membership or certification (ASLA, AIA, NCARB, APA, etc.; LEED certification, etc.)

Preferred Experience:

PhD in Landscape Architecture from an accredited institution or related discipline with an established design practice/research agenda; professional licensure; exemplary studio teaching experience; expertise in one or more of the following areas: landscape ecology and advanced implementation technology; sustainable site engineering/construction technologies; graphic communication (digital and hand-drawn techniques); digital applications, including GIS; research and design methodologies; design build. Three to five recent years of experience in landscape architecture or related practice.
