Brief Summary of Work for this Position
The Head Coach, Softball, provides leadership for a NCAA Division I program and is responsible for the overall coaching, management and administration of the program. This includes evaluating and recruiting with athletic scholarships, supervising academic progress and promoting the graduation of student athletes. Will supervise assistant coaches, volunteers, and student assistants. Participate in public relations activities for promotion of the sport. Responsible for development, organization, and administration of the program within a budget. The Head Coach adheres to and enforces all policies and procedures of the department and the university, as well as the rules and regulations of the CAA and NCAA.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Three to five years of successful collegiate coaching experience
Knowledge of NCAA Division I rules and regulations.
Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Division 1 coaching experience
Master’s degree
