The Norm Brodsky College of Business of Rider University seeks an Administrative Associate to provide, with minimum direction and using a broad administrative level of skills and knowledge, advanced administrative support to assigned staff and faculty members. Individual will: operate independently in prioritizing own workload and that of others in determining how best to accomplish work objectives; be proactive in identifying, following-through, and resolving various issues; participate in special projects, duties, and/or assignments as required; order supplies for designated departments and centers within the Norm Brodsky College of Business; contact full time faculty and adjuncts for office hours and syllabi; post signs for class cancellation and office hours cancellation; and provide administrative relief in Dean’s office for absences.

Position Requirements

Qualified candidate must possess a High School diploma or equivalent with 4-6 years of related work experience preferred. Additional requirements include: effective communication and interpersonal skills; working knowledge of standard office equipment; computer proficiency with an emphasis on word processing, spreadsheet, and data management skills; effective problem-solving skills and the ability to operate independently, prioritize and organize own work schedule, multi-task, and meet established deadlines; excellent computer, recordkeeping, and organization skills; and the ability to delegate work responsibly to others, monitor the work of others, and provide ongoing guidance, and leadership to others.
