Job Description:
Architect, manage, and continually develop and support all server, storage, disaster recovery, business continuity, and other backend systems.

Responsibilities Include:

Architect, upgrade, maintain, and support server systems
Virtual Infrastructure
Microsoft Server Systems
Microsoft Exchange e-mail and Teams messaging systems.
Remote server access
Server hardware including Blade Server systems and enclosures
Architect, upgrade, maintain, and support storage systems
Storage Area Network and Network Attached Storage Systems
Backup systems including client/server, disk, and off-site archiving backups.
Unitrends Backup System
Systems Security
Email System Security including anti-spam and anti-phishing systems
Ensure appropriate updates and patches are installed
Maintain and Audit compliance with security standards and policies for all responsible systems
Architect, upgrade, maintain, and support Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity for all responsible systems
Manage department budgeting/purchasing and research potential new technologies
Create and maintain Best Practices, Documentation, and Reports for all responsible systems
Continuously strive to maintain 24/7 uptime and ubiquitous availability
Continuously strive to maintain a 4-hour response window and 6-hour response-to-repair time.
Assist senior management in strategic decisions related to information technology
Other relevant responsibilities as deemed necessary by supervisor or senior management.

Knowledge and Skills Needed:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent degree, or equivalent experience is required. An advanced degree in Computer Science is preferred.
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server systems is required.
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, DNS, and IIS is required.
Advanced working knowledge of enterprise SAN system is required, experience with Netapp preferred
Working knowledge of enterprise backup systems required, experience with Unitrends/Rubrik preferred
Advanced working knowledge of server virtualization required, experience with VMware ESXi preferred
Advanced working knowledge of servers, blade servers, data center racks, PDUs, and UPS hardware required, experience with Cisco UCS, and Liebert systems preferred.
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Services, including: Azure AD, Exchange Online, Licensing, Teams, SharePoint Online, and Azure Active Directory Connect/Sync
In-depth experience working in a datacenter environment required..
Advanced Knowledge of Powershell scripting is preferred
Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint is desired
Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server is desired
Experience with Email Security solutions, Cisco IronPort preferred
Working knowledge of Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop systems is desired
Working knowledge of Cloud computing a plus
Experience with NOC design and organization is desired
Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity systems and sites desired.
Strong understanding of server, virtualization, and SAN systems. This includes issues, problems, utilities, techniques, and solutions.
Excellent skills in troubleshooting and monitoring required.
Effective project management skills and practices; demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally in writing is required. Customer service experience is a plus.
Ability to define and negotiate purchases and maintenance and support contracts.
High level of integrity and excellent judgment concerning privacy issues.
Supervisory and/or management experience highly desirable.
