The successful candidate for this position will be able to support the Department of Chemistry and Physics and its graduate and undergraduate programs as well as support the Brewing Science Certificate Program.
Will exercise tact, courtesy and good judgment in all correspondence and personal contact;
Interact with the public and the university community through accurate emails, telephone contact, written correspondence, and personal visits;
Maintain accurate office files, records, lists and databases;
Maintain accurate operating budget records for the department of chemistry and physics and all other restricted accounts under the auspices of the chair of the department;
Prepare payrolls for faculty adjuncts and faculty overloads;
Assist the chair/program director in organizing undergraduate and graduate teaching schedules.
Order and supervise the distribution of all office supplies and coordinate book orders and instructor's materials;
Provide for the chair real-time scheduling support by booking appointments and prevent conflicts;
Arrange to regularly maintain and update the department of chemistry and physics and brewing science websites;
Assist in the preparation and management of grants, reports, certifications, certificates, and other documents for the Chair and/or Director of Brewing Science.
Prepares and submits purchase requests, expense vouchers and purchase orders for the Brewing Science Certificate Program.
Maintains correspondence and records related to Academic Standards for Certificate Program students.
Assist faculty in the department as needed;
Plan and execute special events;
Perform other tasks as scheduled.
