Job Description:
Oversee day to day operations of the AV department. Work with AV personnel and management to ensure the function of the AV systems and services throughout the university. This position assists the IT division's strategic efforts to maintain current technology solutions to meet the University demands.

Responsibilities Includes:

Plan, develop strategies and help define the goals and timelines for projects that are assigned.
Hire and supervise employees, graduate assistants, student workers and work study employees
Coordinate, document, and assign tasks for the AV team.
Provide the AV team with training, direction and support.
Implement progressive strategies for AV processes.
Manage the budget, timeline, and resources for assigned projects
Monitor problems, provide solutions, and implement changes as necessary to ensure timelines are met and services are delivered.
Maintain working knowledge of all AV system implementations and assist in troubleshooting and modifications when necessary
Manage and protect assets.
Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills Needed:

Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical field
Excellent organizational skills
Proficiency with MS Office products and project management software
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent problem-solving skills
Experience reading wiring diagrams and system design drawings
Experience with AV renovation or new AV construction projects
Knowledge of telecommunications cabling infrastructure
Technical AV certifications preferred
