As Teaching Fellow, you will carry out teaching in the areas of Liberal Arts and Medical Ethics. It is essential that you should also be able to contribute to the supervision of undergraduate final-year projects in the area of Philosophy and to the personal tutoring of undergraduate students within the School. 

You will be asked to lead the Level 2 undergraduate module ‘Student Research Partnerships’ and the international foundation-year module ‘Exploring the Arts and Humanities’. In addition to teaching on these two modules, you will also share the teaching of the Level 1 module ‘Introducing Liberal Arts’ and will contribute to the teaching of ‘Medical Ethics’. 

You will be asked to undertake a range of duties that arise in connection with the teaching of undergraduate modules, including lecturing, leading seminars or tutorials, and assessment. You will also take on the role of School International Foundation Year Academic Lead, which involves acting as a point of contact between the School of Philosophy, Religion and History of Science and the International Pathways Centre.

At the time of application, applicants must have a PhD in Philosophy plus relevant subject expertise and teaching experience.
