Grade 8 (£42,149 – £50,296 p.a. depending on experience)
This role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
Are you a programme manager with significant experience leading the delivery of multi-partner programmes? Do you combine a strong focus on delivery with a passion for quality? Would you like an opportunity to lead delivery of an ambitious three year, £1.23m programme in West Yorkshire?
The University of Leeds is one of the top 135 universities in the world. We have a truly global community, with more than 39,000 students from 170 different countries and over 9,000 staff of 100 different nationalities. Established in 1904, we have a strong tradition of academic excellence, reflected in first-class student education, along with world-leading research that has a real impact around the globe.
We are seeking a Programme Manager to lead a 12-strong consortium of innovation hubs, universities and their business schools, corporates, angel investment network, and specialists in innovation and social impact to deliver a programme for innovative entrepreneurs. The BUILD 2.0 programme (working title) is based on a concept developed by a senior team of regional stakeholders participating in MIT REAP to boost innovation-driven entrepreneurship. Nexus currently leads the Leeds City Region REAP team. Successfully piloted in 2021, BUILD is a 12-week accelerator for diverse founders with innovative ideas that will have real-world impact. The enhanced BUILD 2.0 accelerator is the cornerstone of the new programme, which also provides founders with a local support hub and community and access to funding. BUILD 2.0 is one of three new Enterprise West Yorkshire Programmes. This programme focuses on a high level of intense support for a smaller cohort of businesses (75 over the three years). Central to delivery is the recruitment and support of diverse entrepreneurs from different backgrounds across our region.
As Programme Manager, you will take responsibility for ensuring the BUILD 2.0 programme achieves its aims and is effectively managed and scrutinised according to the University of Leeds Delivering Results Framework. You will lead a delivery group drawn from the consortium, reporting to the Nexus Director and a programme board. A schematic structure is included below. This is an exciting opportunity to put into motion a programme that is designed to provide localised, tailored support to entrepreneurs leveraging assets and resources across our region.
