Position Description

The Associate Director provides services for students with disabilities. Individual student needs are assessed and academic accommodations, learning strategies, and environmental adaptations are implemented, and auxiliary aides are accessed. Consulting with professors, other support programs, and other offices on both campuses, and solving disability-related student problems in a timely manner are essential. The Associate Director will serve as the Director’s backup in the director’s absence.

Position Requirements

Graduate degree, master’s level in learning disabilities, special education, education, counseling, or related field. Experience working with students with disabilities at the college level. Strong interpersonal skills. Strong writing and communication skills. The position requires the completion of a satisfactory background check.
