Job Description

The Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics is seeking a self-motivated person who will be responsible for Human Resources, as well as processing Travel, and Purchasing

Completes hiring process for all TEAMS and OPS personnel. Responsible for posting jobs on Careers at UF. Processing raises and title changes. Processing payroll distributions-ensuring compliance with federal and state contracts. Notifies TEAMS and OPS personnel of all annual training needs, ensuring training is completed within guidelines of the state of Florida and any applicable federal guidelines.

Processes all pcard and travel transactions. This includes getting pcard back up documentation and travel documentation in a timely fashion. Obtaining projects for charges, verifying allowability of charge, and correctness of request.

Processes visa applications for new hires and volunteers; includes J-1, H1-B visas. Maintains visa files for all employees, updating visa status as applicable. Contacts HR when there are changes in status.

Processes volunteer paperwork. Notifies volunteers of all necessary training. Ensures compliance with all state, university, and federal guidelines.

Complete the annual space report, equipment inventory, and equipment surplus as necessary.

Assisting with other administrative processes, as needed.

Acts as backup for miscellaneous duties as needed by Director.

$23.00 - $25.00 per hour

High school diploma or equivalent and seven years of relevant experience. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Experience working with PeopleSoft or myUFL

Experience in human resources and Visa's

Working knowledge of NIH grant purchasing guidelines
