Responsibilities
The Olson Lab is seeking a staff scientist to study gene function in connective tissue development and disease. The lab uses genetic mouse models, lineage tracing, and primary cell culture to elucidate mechanisms regulating fibrosis and regeneration. We also use the mouse system to model human genetic diseases involving skin, bone, and fat. Our lab is part of the Cardiovascular Biology Research Program at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF). We seek candidates with a strong scientific background, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work independently.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Experience with mouse genetics, molecular biology, and mammalian cell culture. Demonstrated ability to complete projects.


Qualifications
Ph.D. in a biological science, chemistry, physics or other relevant area, M.D., or equivalent AND a minimum of three (3) years postdoctoral experience OMRF has mandated the COVID-19 vaccine for all employees, excluding those with an approved medical or religious accommodation, as a condition of employment.
