OU HSC is one of only four comprehensive academic health centers in the nation with seven professional colleges. We are currently building world-class institutes for the treatment of diabetes and cancer. We are looking for a Program Coordinator to join our team! This position coordinates administrative activities of the therapies program interfacing with university departments and Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA).

DUTIES:

  • Patient Care. Must be respectful of patients and address their needs and complaints promptly. Able to manage customer queries and resolve their issues or initiate appropriate steps such as complaint escalation to relevant departments for resolution. In case of queries that require medical expertise, the coordinator transfers the patient to the appropriate therapist for resolution.
  • Patient and Provider Support. A program coordinator requires excellent communication and people skills as the job involves extensive interaction with colleagues and providers. The ability to read and write English is important to understand written instructions and communicate daily. Mathematical and computer skills are essential to manage clerical duties. Attention to details is crucial, especially in tasks such as preparing therapy authorization requests.
  • Staff Support. Distributes information to program staff and others. Answers questions about the program. Performs initial training of platform process. Coordinates administrative functions such as personnel, operations, and other services.
  • Information Maintenance. Organizes and participates in the analysis of collected data. May perform data entry, collect, and clean data.
  • Problem Resolution. Resolves problems according to agency rules and procedures. Provides guidance to providers by identifying and correcting billing problems through the explanation of procedures and benefits.
  • Cross Training. Cross trains with Therapist and Therapies support staff both onsite and at OHCA.
  • Meeting Attendance. Attends staff meetings and other meetings as needed.
  • As Needed. Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
 

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business or related field.

Experience: 36 months in accounting, business, program management or related experience.

Equivalent/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree to equat 84 months of related experience.
