Summary

The Baylor Teen Health Clinic at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a skilled Coordinator, Patient Support Services. This role performs traditional office duties and skills including scheduling and coordinating patient appointments and visits (including telemedicine), preparing and maintaining daily appointment schedules, collecting necessary patient information and completing documentation, applications and eligibility.  This role also processes enrollment applications and performs data entry timely, accurately and in compliance with State and Federal standards and guidelines.

 

The Coordinator will work in one of eight clinic locations.  Each clinic is typically staffed with a Patient Support Services Coordinator, A Medical Assistant a Nurse (RN or LVN) and a Nurse Practitioner.  Duties include patient interaction, customer service and basic office skills. The Coordinator will perform these and other office functions as necessary to meet departmental goals.

 

The Baylor Teen Health Clinic currently provides pregnancy testing, family planning, sexually transmitted diseases (STD) and HIV/AIDS education and screening, primary healthcare, and case management services to teens, their partners, and adolescents in Harris County. The clinics provide services to teens from the age of 13-24.

Job Duties

  • Greets, orients and answers patients' questions.
  • Acts as a front line representative and records and maintain reports and data to support operational activities.  
  • Manages multiple tasks and deadlines using organizational skills.
  • Enters additional information into other databases and tracks patient demographic information.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Windows and  MS Office applications. 
  • Manages multiple tasks and deadlines using organizational skills. 
  • A strong sense of customer service.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
