Summary

The Senior Manager, Business Operations (Mission Human Resources) leads the mission HR operations team and is responsible for advising, overseeing, and collaborating on strategic and complex human resource projects in the extension of the Senior Vice President and Dean of Research. In addition, the Senior Manager ensures the successful implementation and execution of Mission HR initiatives through effective communication, implementation, and integration of objectives.

Job Duties

  • Lead the mission HR operations team in integrating the organization’s language, brand, culture, and values.
  • Identify and design employee experience strategies, tools, and systems that span the employee lifecycle (e.g., pre-boarding, onboarding, off-boarding, communication, reward and recognition, engagement, and performance management) for implementation within the mission.
  • Provide compensation support, guidance, and training to business leaders.
  • Provide leadership in implementing systems and strategies that promote optimal workforce job satisfaction and engagement (e.g., program planning, change management, after employee surveys).
  • Apply change management tools, knowledge, and resources to mission employees to support organization-wide objectives.
  • Proactively monitor and analyze equity in compensation application within the mission.
  • In partnership with College HR Business Partners, analyze and recommend actionable solutions based on employment-related metrics and reports.
  • Provide consultation, training, and expertise to leaders regarding best practices in the design and implementation of employee training, including presentation skills, training design framework, PowerPoint, and other training tools, assessment, and evaluation.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the concepts, innovations, and best practices related to workforce integration, talent development, and training; coordinate and integrate into current and future HR strategies, goals, and initiatives as appropriate.
  • Assist the Senior Vice President and other senior staff with mission problem-solving.
  • May serve or lead mission-wide project teams and may also serve on or lead mission committees.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Five years of relevant experience.
