Position Description

Rider University, an NCAA Division I institution and member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) invites applications for a Coordinator of Academic Support for Athletics.  This individual will coordinate all aspects of academic support for Rider student-athletes to ensure maximum opportunity for academic success. The successful candidate will be the point person for coaches and student-athletes and will direct student-athletes to the appropriate areas on campus for academic assistance.  The Coordinator will also supervise departmental study hall and oversee the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). 

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Prior experience working with academic support services in a University setting.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to build relationships with student-athletes in order to provide structure, motivate, and help them achieve what they are capable of in the classroom.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. 
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of constituents across campus-faculty, academic support services, coaches, and administrators. 
  • Experience working with a diverse population.

Position Preferred Qualifications/Experience


  • Master’s degree
  • Experience working with student-athletes in a University Division I setting.
