Summary

Research Technician position is open to work on a project exploring how the microbiome affects behavior and brain development.  The technician will assist in performing behavior experiments and in analysis of different aspects of brain development.  Duties will include maintenance of experimental animal, behavioral experiments and immunohistochemical analysis.

Job Duties

  • Assist with different learning and memory-related behavioral testing.
  • Collects, analyses, and documents experimental results.
  • Performs brain extraction, sectioning, and immunohistochemical analysis to investigate different aspects of brain development.
  • Maintains experimental animal, behavioral experiments and immunohistochemical analysis.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Two years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • One year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with mice and/or immunohistochemistry is desired.
