Minimum Education:

Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Preferred Education:

Bachelor's degree.

Minimum Experience:

At least one year of office administrative, secretarial or related experience.

Preferred Experience:

Proficiency with Banner, R25; familiarity with Degree Works; familiarity with the arts disciplines in higher education settings; familiarity with academic procedures and college calendars; college, school, and/or department office technology; effective interpersonal/communication skills; ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, troubleshoot and manage departmental and college course input into Banner.
  • Provide and process schedule and faculty load information for courses in assigned colleges and departments. Prepare, update and maintain over 3000 undergraduate and graduate course offerings, studios, ensembles, lessons, and workshops.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all issues related to class scheduling and faculty load for unit head, their designee and other University Departments (i.e.: Distance Learning). Support college leadership and unit heads to improve data processes and analytics to maximize efficiencies and effectiveness.
  • Review assigned course and schedule types, adhering to University and College guidelines. Monitor course registration restrictions and permissions when applicable.
  • Working with Academic Systems, assist in developing and monitoring data integrity standards for all schedule and faculty load related data.
  • Evaluate schedule requests for adherence to campus policies and procedures; contact departments for supplementary information and justifications as necessary.
  • Provide support to Series 25 classroom space allocation and utilization software for general purpose classrooms. Work with units for College space scheduling.
  • Partner with Advising, Undergraduate and Graduate Coordinators, and Freshman Advising for scheduling related needs.
  • Support college and department initiatives to analyze and plan term-by-term course offerings to maximize schedule effectiveness. Generate and distribute, as directed, load reports.
  • Coordinate and assist with College Office Technology needs.
  • Assist with scheduling of College office and conference room space, as well particular unit space as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
