Summary

The Center for Cell and Gene Therapy at Houston Methodist Hospital is seeking a highly motivated individual to work in the administrative office of The Center for Cell and Gene Therapy. Candidate should be willing to learn and desires to take on added responsibilities as proficiencies increase. This individual will provide back up assistance to the Senior Administrative staff in supporting management, faculty, research, insurance, and clinical staff. 

Job Duties

  • Prepare and process purchasing orders.
  • Manage domestic and international travel in the travel management system (Concur).
  • Compose formal and informal correspondence including, but not limited to, creating and formatting presentations.
  • Calendar scheduling and maintenance.
  • Assist with timekeeping.
  • Submit expenses for reimbursement.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot shared department equipment.  Facilitate service calls as needed.
  • Provide additional support to faculty members as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field may be considered in lieu of experience.
  • Experience with Concur
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Spanish speaking is a plus
