We have a Patient Account Representative opening in OU Physicians Central Billing. 

 

 

What Your Day Will Look Like:  

 

This position will focus on Medicare and Medicare Advantage insurance follow up, reviewing unpaid claims, insurance denials and filing appeals when needed.

Required Education and Experience:

 

High School Diploma or GED. Must have 18 months experience in insurance follow-up. 

 

Required Skills:

Highly proficient data entry skills.  

Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Office and Outlook.

Must have the ability to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer.  

Excellent customer service skills and must be able to work successfully with a diverse group of faculty, other  staff, and patients.

Must be able to follow directions and work as part of a team.

Must be able to follow patient safety and confidentiality (HIPAA) guidelines.

 

AssetsCPT and ICD-9 coding experience; Allscripts and Centricity EMR experience. 

 

Advertised Physical Requirements: 

Standard administrative office environment and exposure, including frequent keyboarding.  Up to 25% of this position will require mobility (moving from one room or building to another; etc.)
