--- This position provides professional administrative support for the Senior Associate Dean in overseeing undergraduate programs and services for over 3000 undergraduate students in the Gallogly College of Engineering. This person will be responsible for providing leadership and support of key college-level student and academic programs and events, developing and maintaining physical and electronic records, scheduling college assigned classrooms and courses, and training and supervising a student assistant. The ideal candidate will be collegial and collaborative and will develop a strong and supportive relationship with the dean. They will work proactively and effectively with colleagues and faculty and students.
Job Requirements
--- Required Education: Bachelor's Degree, AND:
- 12 months related experience
Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Ability and desire to perform a number of different types of tasks throughout a given day, ranging from the handling of urgent requests to long-term planning and office administration
- Critical thinking skills, including an aptitude to research, collect, and analyze data and prepare reports or responses to inquiries
- Welcoming and caring demeanor when interfacing with students, alumni, and other staff and faculty colleagues on campus
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Excellent office management skills
- Strong Excel skills including the ability to build and manipulate spreadsheets
- Ability to learn new systems and processes easily
- Willing to work closely with supervisor to manage work and solve problems
- Comfortable deisgning and delivering presentations
- Experience and interest in event planning

Valid driver’s license required for local travel
