POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Department of Cell Biology, Microbiology and Molecular Biology (CMMB) at the University of South Florida invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Instruction. This is a 9-month, non-tenure earning appointment to begin on December 21, 2022. There is no research component associated. Supplemental summer appointments may be available, depending upon the needs of the University and the availability of resources. The successful candidate will be able to teach general and majors level courses in the Biology I, Cell and Microbiology curriculum, and will be required to coordinate labs as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience):
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Biology or a related discipline at the time of appointment. Equivalent qualifications based on professional experience that meet national and/or regional accreditation standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
Applicants with appropriate background to teach courses in the area of Microbiology will be preferred. Experience in teaching large enrollment courses is desirable.
