We are currently building world-class institutes for the treatment of diabetes and cancer. This position provides administrative leadership and project management to a special medical program or provides healthcare expertise to a special medical program as a Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or other graduate level healthcare professional.       

Duties:

  • Coordinates activities with institutions, counselors, students and professionals to facilitate proper functioning of the program.
  • Develops the overall plan for the program.         
  • Assesses individuals through interviews and testing.
  • May determine the eligibility of subjects for the program.        
  • Analyzes and interprets data found through research or assessment.
  • Prepares and presents reports stating findings, recommendations, etc.
  • Provides technical or healthcare support for the program by performing varying tasks as deemed necessary by the current situation.
  • May provide counseling to patients, subjects, family members, etc.
  • Communicates with students, faculty, alumni, professionals, administrators, etc.
  • Schedules appointments for testing, interviews, counseling sessions, etc.
  • Conducts scientific research and collects data. 
  • Collaborates with other program employees to develop and provide training to support staff, students, etc.
  • Attends or visits various events or meetings that involve obtaining support for the program, keeping abreast of current issues, etc.
  • Prioritizes program duties from needs assessment data or other resources.
  • Makes adjustments in the course of the program in order to meet program goals. 
  • Assists in the preparation of grants and ensures accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the Office of Research Administration, Principal Investigators, and other personnel. 
  • Distributes information to program staff, and others. Answers questions about the program, the progress, etc.
  • Prepares the program budget. Reconciles accounts, purchases with ProCard, enters and approves vouchers, etc.
  • Responsible for appropriating funds for salaries, and other program expenses.
  • Supervises support personnel including other exempt employees that may include Program or Project Coordinators.
  • Selects, trains, delegates tasks, conducts performance appraisals, etc. 
  • Recruits members for committees, programs, volunteer activities, etc.
  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
 

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field. 

Experience: 12 months experience coordinating a large program or project.

Certifications: A current State licensure if a department requires an RN, Physician Assistant, Physical or Occupational Therapist.

Working Conditions:
