About This Role:

This position serves as a manager of the Academic Technology unit within the Office of the Registrar, supporting internal office functions and university administrative systems requiring a working knowledge of all areas within the unit (e.g., u.achieve/DARS; Catalog and Curriculum Approval Systems; Student Information System (KSIS);Room Scheduling etc…) cross-trains with other departmental functions to facilitate support and coverage. Demonstrates quality service, innovation, creativity, ethical and proactive behavior, and working knowledge.

Manages and oversees the day-to-day support of the academic technology unit within the Office of the Registrar. This unit is responsible for academic and classroom scheduling, coordination with the management of Room Scheduling/25Live room scheduling for the university acting as the primary point of contact and liaison with academic units on a range of complex scheduling, operational and administrative issues related to academic course offerings. Negotiates complex classroom switches with academic department scheduling coordinators and devise creative resolutions for unusual situations under limited time constraints. Ensures unit supports and maintains various systems including but not limited to the student information system, 25Live, Acalog, Curriculog, u.achieve/DARS, etc.… Serves as a backup to staff as needed to review and make decisions. Oversees the update of all systems and databases and the maintenance of system records and the communication of decisions to appropriate staff.

The Information Technology Coordinator will provide support and back-up to the Assistant Registrar and Associate Registrar within the unit. Will develop and support the creation and maintenance of system upgrades, cross-training within the unit, as well as across the entire office. Will work directly with external units and constituents, such as Information Technology (IT), Admissions, Graduate School, Global Campus, Office of the Provost, Faculty Senate, etc. to ensure proposed processes are in alignment with all policies.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree.
Three years of relevant experience.
This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by a hiring manager.
Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree.
Higher Education/post-secondary experience: one to three years progressively responsible experience in Enrollment Management (Admissions, Financial Aid, and Registrar) or experiences directly related area of expertise that interacts with the business processes handled by these offices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a highly detailed work environment.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, including an excellent command of the English language, grammar, and syntax.
Knowledge of student records maintenance, registration/enrollment processes, degree and graduation processes, and verification procedures.
Experience reviewing, implementing, or recommending changes to multiple policies and procedures, including university, state, and federal rules and regulations.
Advanced knowledge of Student Information Systems platform(s) - i.e. PeopleSoft/Oracle, u.achieve/DARS, Imaging (Perceptive/ImageNow), National Student Clearinghouse, etc.
Supervisory experience including but not limited to the direct supervision of staff, hiring decisions, pay and time card tracking, etc.
Ability to exercise independent judgment in evaluating situations, making decisions as well as grasp new techniques and updates to products/processes quickly.
Experience working with diverse populations along with providing training and technical development, public speaking, presentations, customer service in higher education-related areas.
Other Requirements:

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
Heavy lifting of diploma boxes may be required as well as the use of office hand truck for transporting diploma supplies.
Daily work requires repetitive movements of wrists, hands, and fingers when using a computer performing daily tasks and sit, stand, and walk handling/preparing diplomas.
Must be able to handle a variety of processes which could cause high levels of stress during peak periods.
Daily use: desktop computer, dual monitors, photocopier/scanner, multi-line telephone, printer, cash register, credit card machine, Official University Seal, student information system, degree audit system, imaging system, and document ordering system.
