Job Summary/Basic Function
Individual in this position is responsible for the management and support of user accounts and will work to ensure that account creation is working properly and perform related troubleshooting tasks.

Individual in this position will be assigned project work related to IT Division and university initiatives as needed, including enterprise system changes, system implementations, in-depth research, and end user testing. Analysis of technology needs and solutions for campus may also be assigned.

Position will require individual to provide second tier hands-on and remote support for campus resources in a variety of areas, with tasks including but not limited to: troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, networking, account and security issues; handling complex and in-depth incidents and system evaluations; providing web support to campus web site users.

Individual is responsible for the formulation of formal and informal training, documentation, public facing web sites, and knowledge base articles to address technology and related support issues.

Other duties and tasks as requested or assigned.
Required Qualifications
Associate’s degree in a technology related field or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
1 year of experience working in a technology related field with a high level of troubleshooting and hands-on computing with experience in 2 or more of the following areas:
- Web-based applications and website support
- Microsoft Active Directory or other user account management systems
- Group policy administration and user policy management
- Web development concepts and HTML
- Troubleshooting user accounts and associated issues
- Antivirus software and related troubleshooting and remediation techniques
- Formulating technical training documents or knowledge base articles
Understanding of FTP and other basic network protocols, Experience working with remote servers, Experience supporting enterprise systems and software used at Weber State, Experience using service desk ticketing software
Preferred Qualifications
ITIL Foundations certificate
