Job Description

Post-doctoral Research Fellowship positions are available in the University of Illinois at Chicago Diabetes Research Training Program (UICDRTP). With over 25 faculty mentors, the UICDRTP provides opportunities for training in basic/mechanistic, translational, clinical, behavioral, and community-based research targeting diabetes research in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment that promotes diversity.

The UICDRTP T32 Training Grant supports up to 3 years of post-doctoral training for NIH-eligible (US citizen or permanent resident) post-doctoral fellows (M.D., Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent), including support for stipends, educational and training-related expenses. In addition to conducting closely mentored research, fellows participate in research seminars, journal clubs and work-in-progress meetings, and, when appropriate, complete graduate level courses pertinent to their research and career goals, including degree conferring programs (e.g., MS in Clinical and Translational Science, Health Informatics, etc).

Trainees will be no more than 5 years past completion of their Ph.D. or terminal degree. The UICDRTP encourages applications from underrepresented minorities.
