We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate cybersecurity professional to join our team of adjunct instructors. We are accepting applications for individuals who meet our minimum qualifications and who can provide instruction within the area of Business Information Technology, specifically in Cybersecurity topics.

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities (include, but not limited to)
Under the direct supervision of the Associate Dean/Instructional Manager, the instructor is responsible for providing instruction to students within the assigned and approved instructional delivery system and in accordance with the mission, goals, policies and procedures of the District. The instructor is responsible for providing an active learning environment to enable students to demonstrate course competencies, and creating a student learning centered environment that places learning at the center of educational experiences in our classroom on the Pewaukee Campus.

The subject-matter expert will support students within our growing cybersecurity degree program and ideally have five or more years of industry experience in security administration, vulnerability scanning/reporting, security control implementation, and/or security policy deployment. While experience teaching or conducting training programs is beneficial, it is not a requirement. Topics of specific interest include activities in our Security I and II courses include (but is not limited to) relating topics to security frameworks, implementing policy, assessing risk, deploying cloud services, using and implementing symmetric and asymmetric encryption. Experience with intrusion detection and firewalls is a plus.

Other duties include, but are not limited to: curriculum development and evaluation, committee assignments, student recruitment, program marketing and student club advising. This position requires strong organizational skills, communication skills and the ability to effectively deliver practical hands-on instruction. Must be accessible to students and maintain positive relationships with industry-related organizations and businesses. Must be willing to teach traditional, accelerated and hybrid courses within daytime and evening hours as required.

3. Ability to develop, utilize and/or update course competencies and summaries.

5. Ability to maintain competency in the occupational field.

6. Demonstrated ability and experience working with diverse populations.

7. Ability to work collaboratively with other colleagues and staff.

8. Working knowledge of computer concepts and incorporation of technology in the learning environment.
