In this role, you will have the ability to make impact across our three complementary centers, LINK + LICENSE + LAUNCH, which support the university’s unparalleled industry-ready talent pipeline and world-class research, commercializing discoveries and launching startups for economic, social and global good. To support these aims, we are seeking a Project Coordinator to provide administrative, programmatic, and customer-focused support for a suite of activities designed to advance the ambitious goals of Virginia Tech.

This individual will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at working in a faced paced environment to coordinate programs and activities; act as a point of contact to internal and external parties; break projects into doable actions and establish tasks and timeframes; maintain confidentiality with sensitive information; liaise with LINK + LICENSE + LAUNCH, Advancement, Colleges and leadership to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives; and execute the planning, hosting, and delivery of tasks. Collaboration with various stakeholders is an important part of this role, so the selected candidate should also have strong communication skills and capacity to work both with a team and independently. This position reports to the Director of Strategic Engagement and Partnerships.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of related training and experience.
- Senior administrative or project coordination support, or equivalent office experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects and activities, including meetings and events.
- Demonstrated experience utilizing computer office software including video conferencing, calendaring, word processing, presentations, and spreadsheets.
- Excellent customer service skills/experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of relational databases.
