- Serves on departmental, college and university committees
- Participates in appropriate professional scientific, academic and service organizations at the local, regional and national level
- Other duties as assigned by the Department Chair and/or other appropriate University Authority.
Education
- Provides didactic teaching to professional and graduate students in their area of expertise
- Organizes, coordinates and lectures in graduate and professional student pharmacology-based courses
- Provides opportunities for students, postdoctoral fellows, and other trainees to participate in mentored scholarly research to enhance their pharmaceutical education or to obtain and complete their graduate training
Scholarship
- Develops, implements, and completes independent or collaborative scholarly teaching or research
- Disseminates new and/or applied knowledge through peer-reviewed publications
- Applies for intramural and extramural funding for scholarly activities
Required
- Ph.D., Pharm.D. or equivalent degree in a pharmaceutical sciences discipline or closely related field
- Must meet requirements to work in the United States
- A strong track record of teaching autonomic and infectious disease pharmacology in a professional pharmacy curriculum
- History of scholarship of research, with a track record of research productivity, project design and implementation
Preferred
- At least 5 yr experience as an academic faculty member
- A record of meaningful involvement in the education of professional and graduate students
- Have an established and active research program and possess a strong research publication record.
- History of extramural research funding
