Clinical Nurse Manager- South Memorial 

 

OU Health Physicians Tulsa seeks an experienced Clinic Nurse Manager for our South Memorial Clinic. This position reports directly to the Senior Clinic Administrator of Family Medicine and the practice provides primary care to patients across the lifespan. The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, be a team-player who uses a collaborative and strategic approach to solve problems, has experience in LEAN or other quality improvement initiatives and has demonstrated strong people skills. The Clinic Nurse Manager is responsible for the smooth operation of the clinic while promoting the overall organizational goals.  The incumbent will participate in the development of organizational processes and procedures and is responsible for the implementation and monitoring of these to ensure the practice is operating within expectations and performance goals are met or exceeded.

 

 

 

 

Representative Duties:

  • Personnel Supervision.  Supervises nurses and clinical support staff.  Coordinates and supervises the activities of care managers and other personnel.  Hires, trains, conducts performance appraisals, disciplines, and terminates employees. Coordinates time reports and leave requests.  Ensures staff is well equipped to perform their duties. 
  • Scheduling.  Plans and implements personnel schedules.  May plan schedules for other personnel, students, volunteers, etc.
  • Nursing.  Works as a care manager when needed. 
  • Invoicing.  Processes invoices for payment for items received by the department.  Requires verification that services/goods have been provided/received.
  • Liaison.  Facilitates site reviews with outside reviewers.  Serves as initial contact with outside providers and/or outside contractors, and payers.
  • Complaint Management.  Assists in resolving patient complaints.
  • Policy Adherence.  Ensures adherence to policy, and guidelines. Enhances adherence to clinical, project, program, or departmental policies and procedures. 
  • Meeting Attendance.  Attends meetings and conferences.  Conducts regular staff meetings.  May make presentations to committees, staff, etc.
  • Patient Services Advocacy.  Acts as a liaison and advocate for patient services or project participants. 
  • Collaboration.  Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to provide efficient quality patient care.
  • As Needed.  Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

Experience:

  • Required: 48 months experience as a professional nurse (RN) in the designated specialty.

 

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Equivalency/Substitution: RN with Associate's Degree and a minimum of two years of experience in a supervisory/leadership RN position.

 

Certifications or Licenses:

  • State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse Licensure,
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certifications.

 

Preferred Qualifications: Certified Case Manager (CCM), Comprehensive Primary Care (CPC) experience.
