Position Description

Rider University invites applications for a Manager, Campaign Volunteers and Executive Assistant to the Vice President. This individual will serve as a liaison for the Vice President for University Advancement in their role as Rider’s Chief Advancement Officer and serve as Divisional Office and Budget Manager to ensure a smooth operation of the Division.

Specifically, the individual will be responsible for:
  • providing all aspects of office support for Vice President;
  • coordinating major donor meetings with the Office of the President for meetings that include the President and Vice President;
  • providing guidance and advice for Divisional support staff in the execution of their regular duties;
  • editing and proofreading correspondence and other material;
  • budget management;
  • managing a Campaign volunteer program;
  • representing University Advancement at special events and act as a liaison for the VP for University Advancement; and
  • participating in fundraising efforts by managing a small portfolio of prospective major gift donors.

Position Requirements

  • Associate’s degree
  • Minimum of 7-10 years working in a complex, multi-divisional organization, preferably within higher education or a not-for-profit environment
  • 3-5 years of experience in budget management
  • Demonstrated exceptionally strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on internal/external customer service and in-person presentation skills
  • Strong computer aptitude with expertise in all Microsoft Office applications (especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Some experience with database management is a strong plus
  • Attention to detail and follow-through skills are essential
  • The ability to juggle multiple assignments simultaneously is critical
